WIZPR Ring 2 · A dedicated voice input device

Raise your hand and speak,
and your words become text

Keep your phone in your pocket and your ears free. Bring the ring near your mouth and speak softly: WIZPR listens to your voice. Our second-generation ring brings proximity and motion sensors, a microphone and NearVAD together.

The 5 cm bubble

Speak within 5 cm of your ring

Bring your ring close to your mouth and speak. NearVAD distinguishes nearby speech from surrounding conversations, traffic and music. The dotted circle shows a 5 cm radius around the ring's mint-colored microphone. Bring it close enough for your mouth to be inside the circle.

Whispering

How it works

A familiar gesture starts and ends your input

01

Bring your ring close to your mouth

Proximity and motion sensors detect when you bring the ring near your mouth and turn on the microphone. No button or wake word is needed.

02

Speak softly

NearVAD accepts nearby speech and filters out distant sounds. Speak at the same volume in a busy cafe or a quiet meeting room.

03

Lower your hand to finish

Move your hand away to finish input, then send a message, save a note or make an AI request. Use the same experience in WIZPR Vibe on your phone and PC.

In noisy environments

A clearer difference in noisy places

Word error rates for the same sentence spoken under the same noise conditions. At 83 dBA of speech noise, the phone's built-in microphone recognized almost nothing, while the ring transcribed with a 3% error rate.

Internal comparison of the first-generation WIZPR Ring and an iPhone. These are not Ring 2 measurements. Lower is better.

Developer

Bring whisper voice input to your app

Add Ring as a near-field voice interface for AI assistants, desktop tools and prototypes. The Rust SDK provides ring connectivity, decoded audio and ring events, so you can build without recreating the hardware transport layer.

// Find the ring and connect, receive voice and event let ring = wizpr::scan().await?.connect().await?; while let Some(ev) = ring.next_event().await { match ev { Event::Audio(frame) => stt.push(frame), Event::NearSpeechStart => ui.listening(true), Event::NearSpeechEnd => ui.listening(false), _ => {} } }
