Mac installation and usage guide

1. Install on a compatible Mac

Check your chip and macOS version in About This Mac in the Apple menu. The current installer supports Apple Silicon, not Intel Macs.

  1. Download the DMG installer using the official link, then open it.
  2. Move WIZPR Vibe to Applications and open it.
  3. Review the microphone, accessibility and input monitoring permissions requested by the app. Preparing speech recognition resources for the first time may require internet access.

2. Dictate with your mouse or keyboard

Choose your recognition language in the app; select Korean for Korean dictation. Hold the left mouse button at the input location, speak, then release. You can also start with a keyboard shortcut.

The Mac app inserts the recognized text after you finish speaking. This is different from inserting characters live into another app while you speak.

You can start without selecting a text field. The transcript remains in a small window following the pointer. Click a text field to paste it, or cancel with a right-click or Esc.

3. Hold the trackpad and speak

Enable both macOS Tap to click and the app’s Mouse Push-to-Talk. Lift your finger, touch the trackpad again and hold still to speak.

4. Write email, documents and AI prompts

Try dictating an email reply or a document one sentence at a time. In an AI chat field, describe the background, desired result and constraints in that order.

STT means speech-to-text: converting spoken words into text. WIZPR Vibe is a dictation app for entering text in your apps.

5. Understand AI correction and history settings

Mac speech recognition runs on the device. Optional AI correction requires sign-in and internet access. It sends the current transcript to the cloud to correct recognition errors, spacing and punctuation. You can turn it on or off in Settings.

Add frequently used names and technical terms to your personal dictionary. Recent transcripts and correction results are stored on this Mac. You control whether history is saved and when it is deleted.

Mac FAQs

Do I need a WIZPR Ring?

No. You can dictate using your Mac's built-in microphone. Ring and mobile integration are optional. Mobile integration requires the WizprRing app that supports the current connection protocol.

Can I right-click to translate or ask about a PDF?

Right-click AI editing and translation, and screen and file references, are listed on this site as upcoming features. AI correction in the Mac app refines the text you have just dictated.

How do I turn on Face-to-Talk?

Enable it in Feature Lab. This experimental input mode uses the camera to detect when you look at the screen and speak. You can calibrate the detection direction for multiple displays.

How do I switch from the beta?

Replace the beta with this official installer. The release notes state that subsequent updates will follow the stable release channel.
